Albert Einstein’s most famous science quotes that teach you about the quintessential need for curiosity in life. As a scientist, Einstein always emphasised the essence of questioning things.

As per every year this year also National Science Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm on 28th February 2023 with the theme of National Science Day 2023 is Global Science for Global Wellbeing.
Programme was organised in the morning in which a speech on the significance of the day was delivered by Rakshini. S, a student from grade 8. Treat me right and you will see the light. Treat me wrong and you will be gone”! – Sir C V Raman.

National Science Day’s primary objective is to ignite an interest in science, inspire people, especially students, to perform new experiments, and make them aware of the latest developments in science and technology. Several scientific activities and programs are organised on this day.

The aim of science exhibition is to :

Promote active involvement of students and teachers in science related activity.
Encourage students to ask questions and to get doubts cleared in different areas of science and promote their effective participation.

Enable students to know about the latest developments in the fields of science and technology.
Enhance interaction between scientists and students.

Encourage scientific thinking and promote better understanding of concepts of pure science among students and teachers of high school.

The theme of National Science Day 2023 is Global Science for Global Wellbeing.

Maths Expo Event 2023

MATHEMATICS GIVES US HOPE, THAT EVERY PROBLEM HAS A SOLUTION

After completing expo we had outstanding events by all the classes

Grade I students put up a fantastic performance through a song “Rhymes on Shapes.”

Grade II students enacted a creative drama on the “Value of Zero”

Grade III students presented a puppet show depicting the childhood of the great Mathematician Ramanujan

Grade IV students delivered an impressive speech on Great Mathematicians.

Grade V gave a super dance performance on “Numbers” along with a poem recitation.

Grade VI gave a fabulous act showing the “Importance of Maths in our daily life.”

Grade VIII students gave a wonderful performance on Ramanujan and his contributions.

At the end of the day competitions like Quiz, Math sketching, Sudoku and solving rubix cube were also conducted to boost and cheer the students.

Maths Expo 2023

The only way to learn Mathematics is to do Mathematics

The department of Mathematics organised an expo on Feb 8th 2023 at our school. Students enthusiastically participated in the expo and made wonderful, amazing models on various topics. The students of Grade I to VIII made different models both still as well as working models.

Students of classes Grade I to VIII participated and each class presented and explained the models made by them on different topics. It was clear children enthusiastically researched and keenly took part in the exhibition, the work presented by them in the form of models were monitored and made under the guidance of their teachers.

Teachers of other departments took part and asked questions where children got an opportunity to communicate their thoughts.
It was indeed an exhibition which gave them exposure and confidence to present their thoughts and mind.

MUN 2023

The school provided an opportunity for the students to participate in Model United Nations [MUN] conducted by the Youth Leaders Global Conclave [YLGC] at PSG College of Technology at Coimbatore. MUN is a stimulation of the United Nations, which gives an Idea about its working and different committees.

Our students participated in the World Health Assembly [WHA] committee, which is the decision-making body of the World Health Organization [WHO]. Our students were delegates of different countries like Vietnam, Bangladesh, Philippines, Israel, South Africa, Norway and Belgium. Students actively participated in debates, public speaking, discussions, moderated and unmoderated caucus and document formation. MUN helped in promoting skills such as public speaking, debating and Interpersonal negotiation, to have an understanding of current affairs, and to boost up their confidence.

Thespians 2023

“Drama Fiesta”

“An art concerned almost exclusively with live performances in which the action is precisely planned to create a coherent and significant sense of drama.”

On the event of Republic Day the theatre arts committee organized a Drama Fiesta which is an Inter-House drama competition between the two houses of our school – The Conqueror and The Conservationist. This event evoked the creativity of our students from Kindergarten to Grade 8.

Kindergarten 1 children performed a character play of the story – “Three Little Pigs”

Kindergarten 2 children performed a character play of the story – “Jack and the Beanstalk”

Grade 1 to 3 students executed a dramatic play on “Patriotism”.

Grade 4 and Grade 5 students of the Conqueror team performed a dramatic play on “Future Nation” and the Conservationist team executed a dramatic play on “Good Leader”, which was great awareness for the future generations.

Grade 6 and Grade 8 students of the Conqueror team accomplished a dramatic play on “Democracy” and the Conservationist team carried out a dramatic play on “Benefits of People Rule”, which created a platform for the students to understand the importance of Democratic Governance of India.

The stupendous performance of our students was evaluated by the English Teachers – Mrs. Lavanya and Mrs. Malarvizhi of Sri Vagisvari Vidya Mandir Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Pollachi.

Republic Day 2023

“Freedom in mind, Faith in words, Pride in our heart, Memories in our soul

Let’s salute the Nation on Republic Day”

On the auspicious morning of 26th January 2023, the Yuvavriksha Club of our school celebrated Republic day in the school premises. The day was celebrated in our school with great éclat. It was a great pride for all of us. Teachers and the students took part in this great occasion of celebrating 74th Republic Day.

The chief guest of the day Thiru. P Karthikeyan esteemed the occasion and unfurled the National flag. A parade by students of Conqueror and Conservationist house members from Grade 1 to Grade 8. The choir embarrassed the occasion with the Tamilthai Vazhthu and National Anthem.

A speech on Republic day was delivered by our students Dharshit of Grade 8 and Ashanthika of Grade 5 in English and Tamil respectively.

In fact, it was a day of rejoicing and merry making. May we continue celebrating this day forever!

Children’s Day

Every child is a different kind of flower, and all together, they make this world a beautiful garden

The event started with a speech on Children’s Day by Sowmithra of Grade 5 and it was followed by the Value based Speech by Dharshit of Grade 8 on Perseverance.

Kindergarten 1 & 2 children recited the rhymes “1, 2 Buckle My Shoes” and “Roll Over Backward Counting”.

Grade 1 students recited the Rhymes “Five Little Monkeys” and “Sand”.

Students from Grade 4 & 5 performed a Puppet Show on “Perseverance”.

Students from Grade 6 & 8 performed Mime on “Awareness on Mobile Addiction” which is the most required for today’s generation.

The celebration concluded with a cake cutting by the SPL and ASPL along with the Kindergarten children

International Literacy Day

The event commenced with stirring speeches from personalities such as Sudha Murthy, Martin Luther King Jr., Swami Vivekananda, John F. Kennedy, Rabindranath Tagore and Stephen Hawking. The inspiring words were spoken by Grade 6 & 8 students dressed in their respective characters’ costumes.

Kindergarten kids had a blast when they recited poems and showcased their acting skills in a skit.

Grade 1 students memorized and recited a rhyme.

Grade 2 students were asked to tell stories and they did a great job! Each student weaved their own unique stories that was full of creativity and fun. It was evident that the students thoroughly enjoyed this activity!

Third-grade students put on a delightful musical-dance performance.

Grade 4 students put on the enchanting play Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs to captivate the audience.

Teachers Day

Teachers can have a tremendous impact on their students if they possess the passion to make a difference and the knowledge to provide meaningful guidance.

As a gesture of appreciation, the students organized numerous games for their teachers, including a treasure hunt, cup-pyramid building, balance walking and lemon-spoon relay.

Janmashtami

Janmashtami is celebrated as a symbol of the end of darkness and rooting out of the evil forces

A splendid and colourful performance by the students. Dressed in ethnic wear as Radha and Krishna, they participated in Bhajans, chantings, and prayers.

Students enjoyed participating in various cultural activities like paintings, drawings, pot decoration, flute making, and garlanding of flowers.

They also participated in games like Uriyadi, treasure hunt and more
