VASANT PANCHAMI-
Vasant Panchami is the festival dedicated to Saraswati, the goddess of learning .Hindus celebrate Vasant Panchami with great fervor in temples, homes and even schools and colleges. . Hindus all over the world celebrate this festival with great enthusiasm. This Panchami is also known as Saraswati Day. It is believed that this day is Saraswati’s birthday. Hindu temples are full of activities on this day.
Yellow colour is given special importance on this day. On Vasant Panchami, Saraswati is dressed in yellow garments and worshipped. Men and women try to wear yellow clothes on this day.
SVVM celebrates Vasant panchami function in a splendid manner. Special poojas and homam were conducted in our school temple.Vidhyaans offered prayers receiving the blessings of goddess Sri Vagisvari Amman. The color yellow is strongly associated with vasant pancjami as it signifies the brilliance of nature and the vibrancy of life.
