Sowing Seeds of Sustainability at Vidhya Vishwalaya
“We won’t have a society if we destroy the environment.”

At Vidhya Vishwalaya, we proudly observed Environmental Day 2025 with a series of vibrant, thoughtful, and purpose-driven activities aimed at cultivating environmental consciousness among students. The entire campus came alive as learners from Grades 1 to 9 actively participated in events that emphasized sustainability, plastic pollution awareness, and eco-friendly practices. Younger students in Grades 1 to 3 showcased their creativity through a delightful colouring contest and an eco-costume parade using recycled materials, promoting the values of reuse and appreciation for nature. Grade 4 students demonstrated their visual storytelling skills in a poster-making competition and crafted imaginative pieces from waste materials. Grade 5 explored environmental themes through slogan writing, storytelling, and show-and-tell, developing both communication and critical thinking skills. In Grade 6, students reflected on plastic usage with the theme “Plastic: Friend or Foe?” and created innovative art from recycled items. The senior students of Grades 7 to 9 engaged in a wide range of interdisciplinary events, including essay and poetry writing, digital posters, short video making, and a photography contest, all focused on spreading awareness about the global plastic crisis. They also presented eco-friendly models, made impactful slogans, and participated in the “Letter to the Future” activity, expressing their vision for a plastic-free world. A collective Eco-Pledge Board encouraged students to commit to sustainable actions in their daily lives. The celebration was not only a tribute to our planet but also an inspiring reflection of how today’s students can become tomorrow’s responsible environmental stewards through awareness, creativity, and committed action.
