Thespians 2024–25

Thespians 2024–25, our school’s annual theatre fest, was a grand celebration of imagination, expression, and performance. With the motto “Feel. Act. Inspire.”, the fest was designed to bring stories to life on stage while nurturing creativity, teamwork, and confidence in every young performer. The event welcomed esteemed Chief Guest Dr. V. Neelakandan, Associate Professor of English at Sri Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya College of Arts and Science, Coimbatore. In his inspiring address, he spoke about the power of theatre in shaping character, communication, and empathy among students.

The performances began with a charming start as the young stars of Grade 1 presented delightful renditions of The Lion King and The Jungle Book, winning hearts with their innocence and enthusiasm. This was followed by the magical world of The Wizard of Oz and Alice in Wonderland, wonderfully enacted by students of Grades 2 and 3, taking the audience on an unforgettable journey through imagination and adventure.

Moving into meaningful street theatre, students of Grades 4 and 5 raised strong social messages. The Conservationists performed on the theme of Time Management, while the Conquerors highlighted the importance of Education through impactful dialogues and expressions. Students of Grades 6, 7, and 8 followed this with a mime performance on Quality of Education, using silence, gestures, and expressions to deliver a powerful message that resonated with all.

The fest’s highlight was the signature performance by Grade 10—a gripping and haunting portrayal of The Canterville Ghost. With a perfect blend of suspense, drama, and theatrical brilliance, the play left a lasting impression on the audience and stood as a testament to the talent and maturity of our senior performers.
Thespians 2024–25 truly showcased the depth of young talent and the transformative power of theatre. It was more than just a festival—it was an experience where students learned, performed, and inspired. The event was a proud moment for the school and a step forward in building confident, creative, and expressive individuals.
