JANMASHTAMI CELEBRATION

JANMASHTAMI CELEBRATION- Janmashtami, is an annual Hindu festival that celebrates the birth of Krishna, the eighth avatar of Vishnu. It is observed according to Hindu luni-solar calendar, on the eighth day (Ashtami) of the Krishna Paksha (dark fortnight) in the month of Shravana, , which overlaps with August and September of the Gregorian calendar.

On the day of Gokulashtami festivel the SVVM family celebrated the eve in a grand manner. Started with the sacred pooja done by our correspondent sir and the revered Principal madam. Students from KG, in their fancy costumes performed a dance with little Krishna in the middle and surrounded by the colorful gopiyers. Students of different levels performed English dramas on ‘Krishna Leela’ and “ Krishna with great personalities” from the great epic ‘Mahabharatha’. It was very wonderful and highly sensible.
IX and XI std students conducted a Tamil debate on the topic ‘ஆன்மீகம் பண்படுத்துவது தனிமனிதனையே ! சமூகத்தையே ! with an excellent vigor of knowledge and power.
Ultimately the function ended with the distribution of prizes to the KG students by our Hon’ble correspondent.
Our SPL welcomed the gathering and ASPL gave the vote of thanks.
