Literacy Quiz

“Literature is something that brings the world into our hands because it’s not only the collection of written works but also its a form of art which we can connect and relate to our day to day life, characters, problems and so the solution.” Recalling those characters is the most crucial part in the Literacy Quiz.

In our school we organised Literature Quiz competitions for the students from Grade 1 to Grade 9 on 11th Dec by the Utopian club between the two houses of our school – Conqueror and Conservationists. The aim of this competition is to enhance the learning experience and engage the students to actively participate in quiz competitions. Heritage Visit 2023

“Climbing up the roads and hill

In search of heritage sites by will

Destinies where emperors ruled

Where battles were made

Where the history rites

Land where our Culture lights”

Heritage trip for the students of grade 5 to 9 were conducted on 4 th November 2023 for two days. This trip was organised by the yuvavriksha club of our school. The main motto of this trip was to introduce the students to visit the vast heritage of our country. This trip covered major heritage sites around Mysore. It includes Mysore palace, St. Philomena church,Vrindavan garden, Shri Ranganatha swamy temple at Srirangapatna, Tipu sultan summer palace, etc. It was a wonderful learning experience for our students.

Debate – 5 (2023)

“Imagination is more important than knowledge” This famous quote said by Albeer Einstein have two contradictory opinion always. Hence it was selected as the motion for the debate. The main speakers were prithvin and Ashanthika R N of grade 7 and 6 respectively who was speaking for the motion. And madhuranjhan MU and Vedharsha A of grade 7 was speaking against the motion. This debate helps in the deeper understanding of different attires of the thought which combines knowledge and imagination.

Literacy Day 2023

Welcome to our school’s Literacy Day event! We are delighted to share with you the exciting activities that took place during this special occasion.

Our students showcased their creativity and love for literature through various engaging activities. The day began with a character fancy dress competition, where students dressed up as their favorite literary characters, bringing them to life on stage. It was a sight to behold as the students portrayed the essence of these characters with enthusiasm and authenticity.

The event continued with a greeting talk session, where students delivered heartfelt messages on the importance of literacy and the power of words. Their speeches were inspiring and reminded us of the transformative impact that literacy can have on individuals and societies.

Next, we witnessed the magic of storytelling through a captivating story enactment. Students brought popular stories to life, captivating the audience with their expressive performances. The enactment not only showcased their acting skills but also emphasized the power of storytelling in fostering imagination, empathy, and a love for reading.

Adding a touch of rhythm and movement, our students showcased their talents in a vibrant group dance performance. The dance showcased the influence of literature on different cultures and celebrated the diversity of stories and languages around the world.

In line with the theme of indigenous languages, our students presented an enactment of William Shakespeare’s “Merchant of Venice” in their native language. This unique performance highlighted the importance of preserving and celebrating indigenous languages, while also showcasing the universal themes of literature that transcend cultural boundaries.

Overall, our Literacy Day event was a celebration of the written word, fostering a love for literature, and promoting the importance of literacy in our lives. We are proud of our students’ enthusiasm and creativity in showcasing their talents and spreading the joy of reading and storytelling.

Quiz competition 2023

“In a quiz competition, the biggest challenge is not the questions, but the nerves”

Here is the collage of students of Vidhya Vishwalaya participating in the quiz competition for our Independence day celebration. The students from grade 1 to 9 participated in the quiz competition as two houses, “conservationists and Conquerors”. The Yuva vriksha Club of Vidhya Vishwalaya fostered the thinking process of children through thought provoking questions with different rounds and made them steal the show. The learners were very curious and eager to answer. Through this competition, we ensured that our blooming students are the upcoming responsible citizens of our nation.

Independence Day 2023 – 1

Our school’s Independence Day program, which showcases the talents and patriotism of our students.

During our Independence Day program, our students participated in various activities to celebrate this important day. We had energetic and captivating patriotic dance performances, where our students showcased their creativity and love for our country through their graceful movements.

Our students also mesmerised the audience with their melodious renditions of patriotic songs, filling the air with the spirit of nationalism and unity.

The skit performed by our talented students was a beautiful portrayal of our country’s journey towards independence, highlighting the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters.

Adding a touch of colour and excitement, our students dressed up in vibrant and creative costumes for the fancy dress competition, representing different iconic figures from our history.

The story narration segment allowed our kindergarten students to share stories, rhyme recitation, where they recited a variety of rhymes, leaving the audience in awe of their talent and dedication.

To top it all off, our students formed a pyramid, symbolising unity and strength, reminding everyone of the importance of standing together as proud citizens of our nation.

We are incredibly proud of our students’ performances and their dedication to making our Independence Day program a memorable event.

Investiture Ceremony 2023

Inaugurating the leaders of tomorrow

A Leader is one who knows the way, goes the way, and shows the way.
Our School Pupil Leader and Team Captions got their Badges from our respected Principal Mam in Assembly.

The Investiture Ceremony Was held in Assembly in order to handover flags, Sashes and Badges to the School Pupil Leader and Team Captions. Election was held to Select the School Pupil Leader and Team Captions. The School Flag was Given to Koshia of Grade-9, School Pupil leader by our respected Principal Mam. The Conqueror Team Flag was given to Naresh Lakshman Vembu of Grade-9, Team Captain of Conqueror. The Conservationist Team flag was given to Uma Mangayarkarasi of Grade-9, Team Captain of Conservationist. Later Oath was taken by Koshia, School Pupil leader. Team Captions along with their team members also took the oath for the teams. Then the Sashes and Badges with their posting were given to them by our Respected Principal mam. The Investiture Ceremony came to end with the national anthem.
